Great things in business are never done by one person. They’re done by a team of people.” -Steve Jobs

I’ve always loved being part of a team. I loved working together towards a common goal. There was a commitment to one another. A bond develops and trust grows. Personal achievement is set aside for the benefit of the team. Success is celebrated as a team and failure is overcome as a team. I know that when I retire in a few weeks, I’ll need to find another team to be a part of, because I’m leaving a great team.

Our goal is to do everything we can to help clients achieve their financial goals and that every experience you have here is a pleasant and productive one.

It all begins when you walk in the door or make that phone call. It’s most likely that your first contact will be with Alyssa. She will welcome you and make you feel at home. She will find out your needs and get you to your appropriate person, or she may in fact take care of your needs herself. She sets the tone for your experience with us as well as serves as an answer to many of your questions.

Someone most clients don’t see but who is so important is Amanda. She handles anything and everything related to paperwork, problems and account maintenance. When clients need money transferred in or out of accounts, she handles it. Need to update beneficiaries? She’s your person. She makes sure the workflow of customer service is smooth.

Next up is Sondra. Her major role is as our paraplanner. She helps your advisor prepare for meetings, participates in client meetings, initiates tasks for the advisor to complete, keeps all clients files and notes up to date and generally makes life easier for your advisor. BUT, in addition, she is our office IT person. Nowadays, if technology isn’t working, neither is anything else.

Last, but not least, are your advisors. Dan and Jeff are the architects of your financial plan and the builders of the road you travel to your goals. They also are the research and development department that screens and monitors investments that are working for you. They carry the responsibility of being the team owner and keeping all parts in place and functioning together. And that’s barely the tip of the iceberg.

Five people brought together by a common goal. While I don’t like to brag, this is the top financial services team in the Grand Valley and it is certainly a pleasure to be able to be a part of it for a bit longer.
